We have a zero tolerance policy for verbal or physical abuse towards our colleagues.

Please treat our staff with the same respect you would expect to receive.

Visiting information

To protect our patients, we may restrict access to visiting times in some of our wards and departments. These changes will be listed below.

Visiting restrictions currently in place

We have restricted visiting on some of our wards

To protect our patients and visitors, no visiting is currently permitted on the following wards, except for patients who are receiving end of life care:

  • Braxted ward
  • Writtle ward
  • Gosfield ward
  • Baddow ward

Please talk to the nurse in charge if you have any questions about visiting.

Please make sure you wash your hands with soap and water before and after visiting any of our wards. Do not visit our hospitals if you have cold or flu symptoms, or if you have had vomiting or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours.

Infection prevention guidance for visitors

To protect our patients, please do not visit our wards if you have cold or flu-like symptoms, or have had diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the last 48 hours.

 To help us reduce and control the risk of infection, particularly Norovirus and Influenza (flu), please:
  • avoid visiting our hospitals unless absolutely necessary.
  • do not visit if you are unwell, including with cold- or flu-like symptoms or if you have had diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the last two days.
  • do not bring food you have prepared at home.
  • do not bring young children into ward areas.
