From Monday 13 March
A new automatic number plate recognition car parking system will be at Broomfield Hospital. Patients and visitors will now pay on exit, rather than arrival.
Patients and visitors will be able to pay for their car parking using their bank card, contactless or Glide https://www.glideparking.com, a car parking app which can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play. Cash payments will still be accepted.
Blue badge holders will continue to receive free parking by typing the last six digits of their badge number into pay station. Badges must be displayed clearly in the front of vehicles.
If you have any questions, please email mse.travel.centre@nhs.net.
There's currently disruption in the public multi-story car park due to resurfacing works. The top level is currently inaccessible from the lower level and can be accessed via the external ramp only, which is manned during these works to ensure that the ambulance ramp is kept clear at all times.
Our team is working really well to manage this difficult situation and we are also utilising available spaces in the main multistorey staff car park or the loop road – our enforcement reflects this so there is no risk of getting a ticket at present.
Please allow more time before your appointment to find appropriate parking.
