Have your say!

Our Trust is always looking for patient feedback on services we provide and when we are looking at designing a new service. We hold engagement events for specific services and also offer a chance for people to tell us their thoughts via online surveys.

Have your say on the future strategy of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust

The Trust’s three year strategy comes to an end in 2025. We now want to organise ourselves for success and are looking at a longer term view.  As one of the largest Trust’s in the country, we want to ensure we work with patients and partner organisations to make sure we develop a long-term strategy to support improvement and deliver high quality services for the 1.2million population in mid and south Essex.

This will help us make plans that will improve our services and ensure we are following the right priorities.

Take part in our survey and help us understand your views on what excellent care means to you - please fill in the survery  here.

How would you like to access diagnostic tests?

We have been asking you to help us understand how you would like to access diagnostic tests, which include CT scans, x-rays, MRI scans and blood tests.

We'd be grateful if you would share your thoughts because your opinions will help us shape the service at the new Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) we are opening in mid and south Essex.

Centres are in progress for Thurrock, Braintree, Pitsea and we are currently (June 2024) looking for an independent provider to run a smaller CDC in Southend.

Your views matter to us as we develop the plans for these centres.

Read the draft report of the public consultation hearing

The public consultation hearings sessions were special events where groups or individuals presented directly to NHS leaders on the issues they thought were important and should be included in the consultation.

People who took part in these events are being contacted directly and invited to check that the public consultation hearing report accurately reflects their presentation at the hearings.

Next steps

The published reports providing the feedback from the public consultation will be presented to the Mid and South Essex ICB Board at their Board meeting on 11 July 2024. No decisions about the proposals in the public consultation will be made at this meeting.

The feedback received will be used to inform the decision-making process, which will be presented at an extraordinary Mid and South Essex ICB Board meeting. This meeting is scheduled to take place as a meeting in public on 30 September 2024. Further information about this meeting will be available on the NHS Mid and South Essex website in due course. At this meeting, all feedback and evidence will be given careful consideration as part of the decision-making process.
