Showcase of NHS innovation and care open to public
People are being invited to go behind the scenes of their local hospitals and discover the latest innovations helping to improve patient care at Basildon, Southend and Broomfield hospitals.
On Tuesday 29 September, from 3pm to 5pm, a marketplace of activities and stalls will take place in the Retreat, in the main entrance of Basildon Hospital. The event is an opportunity to highlight some of the most exciting developments from Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
The marketplace will be followed by the Trust’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place in the Kevin Lafferty Lecture Theatre at Basildon’s Education Centre and will begin at 5.30pm. It will feature updates on performance, finances and future priorities.
Andy Wood, OBE, Chair of the Trust, said: "The marketplace and AGM are fantastic opportunities to showcase the dedication, innovation and achievements of our colleagues, while giving people a chance to learn more about the work that goes on at their local hospitals.
“There are so many exciting developments taking place across our hospitals that are making a real difference for patients and their families. We are proud of what our teams have achieved and look forward to sharing that work with our communities."
Spaces for the AGM are limited, so people are advised to register now at: www.mse.nhs.uk/annual-general-meeting.
There is no need to pre-book if you are just coming to the marketplace.
