Join the library

To access our services and our full range of resources, complete the following two steps.

You can become a member by completing our registration form online at https://elms.koha-ptfs.co.uk/cgi-bin/koha/opac-memberentry.pl . Paper forms are also available at your chosen library site.

Membership is open to all Mid and South Essex Trust staff and students on placement. It's also open to Provide, EPUT* and specific Pathology First staff**.

If you register online, you will need to provide your work email address as proof of eligibility. In person, you will need to bring your Trust ID badge. Remember to keep us updated of any changes to your work address, email or telephone number. 

All members will get a library membership number and a password - this allows you to use our self-service machines and log into the members area of our catalogue to reserve (place holds) and renew books.

​OpenAthens is not a resource itself, it is the key to unlocking online resources purchased for NHS staff and students.

Once you have completed the registration form at https://openathens.nice.org.ukand set up your username and password, you will use this to sign in and access our online resources including databases, journals, and more.
